Synopsis

This workshop brings together two cutting-edge innovations in advanced cardiovascular imaging: Siemens Healthineers’ Dual Source Photon-Counting CT (PCCT) technology and Bayer’s Centargo CT injector system.

Photon-Counting CT (PCCT): Explore how the next-generation detector technology delivers ultra-high resolution of up to 3 times, with inherent spectral information in every scan, and reduced radiation dose, transforming diagnostic confidence in complex cardiovascular cases.

Bayer Centargo: Learn how the connected and efficient CT injector system with automated features for high-throughput environments optimizes workflow to redirect time to patient care and utilizes Centargo Smart Protocols to achieve precise and personalized contrast delivery.

Key Highlights

  • Seamless integration of PCCT with Centargo for optimized protocols in cardiac imaging. Practical demonstrations of workflow improvements, including reduced setup time and standardized/personalized contrast administration. Case-based discussions demonstrating clinical impact: improved plaque characterization, optimised structural heart and congenital heart disease imaging.
  • Live demonstration of both systems with protocol optimization tips for technologists and cardiac imaging specialists.
  • Audience: Technologists, nurses and cardiac imaging specialists seeking to understand how hardware innovation and workflow automation can be combined to elevate diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and patient care.
  • Takeaway: Participants will gain practical insights into how PCCT and Centargo together redefine CT cardiac imaging workflows, offering both clinical precision and operational sustainability.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand cardiac PCCT technology and its clinical impact.
  • Gain practical experience with Siemens PCCT and Bayer Centargo systems.
  • Learn best practices for cardiac imaging workflow optimization.
